We believe that Personal Training should genuinely be “personal”. Our trainers adapt their programming to fit the needs of our clients, they pride themselves on being organised and professional and are at ease with people of all ages and abilities of fitness. We provide a high level of service and our trainers are regularly updating their skill sets.

Farah Khorshid

Personal Trainer

Farah is a professional trainer who likes to continually update her knowledge and skill set. She thrives on finding the right exercise and designing effective programs for her clients, many of whom have specific injuries. She combines this with her nutritional knowledge to help clients expedite their recovery process.

Kayleigh Wylie

Rehab Trainer

Kayleigh studied a Bachelors degree in Human Movement Sciences with a post-graduate honours degree in Biokinetics (2014) at the Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

Dan Massey

Personal Trainer

Dan has over 12 years’ experience as a personal trainer and nutrition coach across Australia, the UK and Dubai. His main focus and expertise is resistance training, specifically for muscle gain, fat loss, increasing metabolism and bone density and improving balance and coordination.
Dan works with clients of all ages and ability levels and has a keen focus on building their confidence and technical ability within the gym environment.

Deja Broadway

Personal Trainer

Deja is a dedicated Personal Trainer with years of experience in fitness, health and well-being. Having competed in fitness competitions herself, Deja is a very committed and results-driven trainer. She specialises in fat loss, muscle building and improving mobility with a focus on working very closely with her clients to help motivate and build healthy habits. Whether you’re looking to gain strength, improve flexibility or fat loss, Deja has worked with many clients to help deliver results.

Snyman Thessner

Rehab Trainer

Snyman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Movement Sciences and Psychology from North-West University, along with a postgraduate Honours degree in Biokinetics from the University of Zululand, South Africa.

He has experience working with individuals who have cognitive and physical disabilities, as well as those seeking to improve their overall well-being through fitness.

Liz Feitsma

Personal Trainer

Liz is an incredibly knowledgeable and experienced trainer. As well as personal training she runs our classes here at Optimal and has a loyal following of members who love her training style. Her main areas of interest are centered around pre and post natal clients and also the much misunderstood area of exercise and fitness for menopause.

Carmen Lowson

Dance and GX Instructor

Optimal dance manager and instructor Carmen is qualified in Professional Stage Dance, RAD RTS classical ballet and (PBT) progressions in ballet technique. She has a loyal following of clients and dancers who love her teaching style. She is passionate about her role and this is easy to see in the performances her dancers put on once a year. An entertaining night which brings Optimal and the community together.

Greg Robson

Personal Trainer

Greg likes working closely with his clients to ensure they become stronger, fitter, healthier versions of themselves. He often runs small group PT sessions where 4-6 members will all work towards a goal together over a number of weeks. He competes in fitness competitions himself here in Dubai so definitely practises what he preaches!

Steve Duerden

Personal Trainer

Steve is an engaging and enjoyable trainer to work with. His extensive level of experience allows him to work with a broad range of client types. He competes in strength sports himself so has excellent knowledge around exercise specificity and selection, however has the qualifications to be able to work with children and veterans alike.

Laura Clarke

With years of experience in health, fitness and playing sport, Laura has developed a passion in empowering individuals, and helping them achieve their goals. She believes in the power of education and is committed to equipping her clients with the knowledge and tools they need to make sustainable lifestyle changes.

Tom Pascoe

Personal Trainer

Tom is an ex Cardiff Blues rugby player, who has played professionally at the top level of his sport. He represented his country at U16, U18 & U20 playing at 2 junior World Cups. He has a wealth of knowledge around strength training and fitness and enjoys coaching clients on correct technique.

Liam is our resident boxing coach and oversees various camps and small group boxing oriented classes throughout the year. His training style is influenced by his sport and is a popular and experienced personal trainer.
